Tuition & Financial Aid

2026-2027 Fees & Tuition

We welcome you to the Fees and Tuition page. Here at St. Stephen’s our walk alongside our families is ongoing, so if you have any questions or confusion regarding tuition and assistance, give us a call.

A core element of our mission is to make St. Stephen’s Episcopal School accessible to any child who wishes to attend and a robust financial aid budget supports our commitment to a socio-economically diverse school community.

Tuition

The maximum per child portion of our tuition paid by families remains $8,950. Starting in 26-27, we have adjusted the tuition to equal the cost to educate each child: $12,700. After an in-school discount of $3,750 to all students, the balance of $8,950 is eligible for scholarships paid through Foundations, State and Federal Funds, Fundraisers, and Donations. For accounting purposes, we have set the tuition to the cost to educate, but no current or new families will be charged an increase in the basic tuition rate.

Fees paid to School on FACTS

The steps prior to the filling out the enrollment packet on FACTS include 1) completing an inquiry form; 2) coming by for a tour and meeting us; 3) complete application on FACTS; 4) if school is in session, then your child will spend a day in the classroom with the students who will be your child’s classmates and testing of grade level will be done at that time. 5) It is then time to take the next step toward your child’s future: Enrollment at St. Stephen’s on FACTs. This next step is a commitment we look forward to with you. Along with this commitment, there is a fee to register: $100 per student for both new and returning students.

Financial Aid

Approximately two thirds of the student body receive some form of financial aid. Assistance varies according to:

  • Family circumstances as presented and evaluated in their FACTS financial aid application,

  • The school's financial aid policy, and

  • The school's ability to meet requested need.

Financial aid is awarded based on a family's demonstrated need and is employed using objective standards. The SSES Financial Aid Committee uses this information to determine aid based on the committee's guidelines and priorities.

The Financial Aid Committee consists of two members who assist the Head of School in determining the allocation of funds. Families who wish to apply must complete the financial aid application provided by FACTS, our third-party provider. This application must be accompanied by the family’s income documents by the deadlines provided. All information is kept confidential.

As there is a limited amount of funding available, the following criteria has been created for eligibility:

  • Tuition from prior years must be current and/or paid in full.

  • Financial need, as determined by income information from the previous year, will be the basis for consideration.

St. Stephen’s Episcopal School does not discriminate in financial aid practices on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability and familial affiliation or any other characteristic protected by law.
