Dual Language
Dual Language K and 1st
Starting in the 2026-2027 school year, St. Stephen’s is excited to launch the first and only Dual Language program in the greater Harrisburg area, in partnership with Hope Academy PA, for kindergarten and 1st grade students. Running parallel to our traditional kindergarten and 1st grade classes, our Dual Language track will allow students, whether their first language is English or Spanish, to explore and acquire the gift of bilingualism using the same, strong core curriculum and enrichment classes that have helped St. Stephen’s students prosper for decades.
By spending half their day in English and half in Spanish, students will acquire their second language naturally through an immersive, hands-on environment that challenges them to apply their new language skills not only with their teachers but also with fellow classmates and the world around them.
Sharing in Hope Academy PA’s pioneering “global classroom” method, students will share a Zoom class experience every week with Hope Academy PA’s sister campus in Guatemala. This unique opportunity will allow students to meet kids from another part of the world, practice their budding language skills with native speaking classmates, and learn about Latin American culture from the source.
This program is the first of its kind in the capital area. Don’t miss out on the chance to give your child the gift of a bilingual education and set them up for success not only in their future academic career but also as global citizens in a multicultural world.
